Understanding your options

What is IVF?

IVF (in-vitro fertilisation) combines an egg and sperm outside the body, in a laboratory, and transfers the resulting embryo into the uterus. It's typically considered after simpler treatments haven't led to a pregnancy, or when specific clinical factors make it the appropriate next step. IVF cannot guarantee a pregnancy — it's one option chosen after individual evaluation.

How is IVF different from IUI?

IUI (intrauterine insemination) places prepared sperm directly into the uterus around ovulation, and fertilisation still happens naturally inside the body. IVF combines egg and sperm outside the body and transfers the resulting embryo back in. IUI is generally tried first when clinically appropriate, with IVF considered if IUI hasn't worked or isn't suitable.

When is IVF considered?

IVF is typically considered after less invasive options — lifestyle changes, ovulation induction, or IUI — haven't resulted in a pregnancy, or when a diagnosis such as blocked fallopian tubes or severe male-factor infertility makes it the appropriate step. The decision follows an individual evaluation, not a fixed timeline. A full work-up comes before any treatment is recommended.

Does Dr. Agarwal publish an IVF success rate?

No — Dr. Agarwal does not publish a blended IVF success-rate percentage. A single number, without age bracket, cycle count, time window, and outcome definition, tells a patient very little about their own chances and can mislead. Instead, she explains realistic, individualised expectations during consultation, in line with ART Act 2021 counselling requirements.

Can any doctor guarantee IVF success?

No. No fertility doctor or clinic can guarantee a pregnancy from IVF or any other treatment — outcomes depend on many individual clinical factors, and guaranteeing a result isn't permitted under Indian medical-advertising law. Treat any clinic that promises a guaranteed result or a 'no baby, no fee' scheme with caution.

What is AI-assisted embryology, and does the AI decide treatment?

AI-assisted embryology uses software — at Aansh Hospital, the Garbha.ai platform — to help the embryology team assess embryo, egg, and sperm images with greater consistency in the IVF lab. Garbha.ai reports a 94% internal model-testing accuracy for its embryo-quality predictions, a technology benchmark from the vendor, not a pregnancy rate. The AI does not decide treatment: all clinical decisions are made by Dr. Agarwal.

Getting started

Your first visit

How do I book a consultation?

You can book a consultation by calling or messaging Aansh Hospital & IVF Center directly, or through the contact page on this site. Consultations are available in Marathi, Hindi, and English.

What happens at the first visit?

The first visit is a full individual evaluation — reviewing medical history, relevant reports, and any prior treatment — before any recommendation is made. There's no fixed protocol applied to every patient; the plan follows from your specific situation, and you'll have the chance to ask questions before deciding anything.

Are costs explained upfront?

Yes — a written cost estimate is provided before any procedure begins, so there are no surprise charges partway through treatment. Costs are discussed as part of informed consent, alongside the clinical plan itself.

Still have a question?

Ask it directly at a consultation.

Consultations are available in Marathi, Hindi & English — we'll listen first, and explain your options honestly.
